BidX alternative
RedHen Labs vs BidX
$495 a month plus a share of ad spend, on annual terms. Here's how they compare for Amazon PPC management.
BidX is "a versatile, fully web-based Software-as-a-Service solution for managing and optimizing Amazon and Walmart PPC campaigns," from BidX GmbH in Germany. Its pricing page lists the Self Service Platform at "$495 + % of connected ad spend per month" without showing the percentage, and says "All plans are based on an annual commitment and monthly payments." A separate page offers BidX Essential at $195 a month for sellers managing up to $10,000 a month in ad spend. Its automation "runs fully automatically every night." RedHen Labs is $129 a month flat, billed monthly.
RedHen Labs is a focused Amazon advertising management platform with built-in profitability tracking. At a flat $19 to $129 a month β never a percentage of ad spend β it gives mid-tier sellers the automation and visibility that used to require enterprise tools or agencies.
Pricing and product description checked against bidx.io and its help center on October 31, 2026.
A base fee, a percentage you can't see, and a year's commitment
BidX's Self Service Platform is "$495 + % of connected ad spend per month," and the pricing page never shows the percentage. It adds: "All plans are based on an annual commitment and monthly payments." So its site can't tell you what BidX will cost at your spend, only that above $10,000 it is at least $495 a month: $366 or more above RedHen Labs Professional at $129, billed monthly, cancel anytime.
Automation every night, or approval per change
BidX's bid automation "runs fully automatically every night and does not require manual intervention," its IF-THEN rules are "executed automatically," and a change can be undone for two days afterward. RedHen Labs queues each change for your approval by default and logs every change with a one-click undo.
When BidX is the better pick
If you want Amazon DSP, Walmart and Amazon Marketing Cloud reports alongside your Sponsored Ads, or a managed team (BidX's Managed Service includes up to 32 hours of help a month), BidX offers them. It also schedules bids by stock level and Best Seller Rank, supports 22 Amazon marketplaces, and has white-label options for agencies.
What youβd pay at your ad spend
| Monthly ad spend | BidX (Essential, then Self Service) | RedHen (Professional) | With RedHen, a month | With RedHen, a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $195 (Essential) | $129 | $66 less | $792 less |
| $10,000 | $195 (Essential) | $129 | $66 less | $792 less |
| $25,000 | Not published (Self Service, from $495) | $129 | At least $366 less | At least $4,392 less |
| $50,000 | Not published (Self Service, from $495) | $129 | At least $366 less | At least $4,392 less |
What each includes. BidX: Essential, for sellers managing up to $10,000 a month in ad spend, has "SMART BIDDING AUTOMATION"; its help center notes that keyword management may be locked on it. The Self Service Platform adds IF-THEN rules, keyword harvesting with automatic negatives, and schedules by time, stock and Best Seller Rank. RedHen Labs Professional: everything in Growth, plus the rule engine β bid rules, keyword harvesting and negative keyword automation, budget and placement automations, dayparting β and the plain-English AI assistant.
How itβs calculated. On a separate page, BidX Essential is "$195/month" for sellers "managing up to $10K in monthly ad spend". Above that, the Self Service Platform is "$495 + % of connected ad spend per month" and the percentage isn't published, so those rows can't give a figure: they start at $495. "All plans are based on an annual commitment and monthly payments." For Essential's bidding alone, RedHen Labs Growth, at $69, is the closer match. Ad spend means the spend the tool manages. Source: bidx.io, checked October 31, 2026. RedHenβs figure is the Professional planβs monthly price, the same at any ad spend ($110.08 a month billed yearly). AI assistant: $20 of usage included each month, and it stops at $50 unless you raise the limit.

How RedHen is different
BidX's own terms put AI under a "human in the loop" principle, and its new AI assistant only recommends for now, while its rule and bid automation "runs fully automatically every night." RedHen Labs applies the human-in-the-loop idea to the rules as well: each change waits for your approval unless you switch that automation on.
- Rules first, AI as the advisor. Rules settle the clear-cut calls, and the AI suggests changes inside hard limits. Auto-apply is off by default; switched on, the AI can only nudge bids.
- It waits when the data is thin. RedHen wonβt cut a bid on too little data. It looks again next cycle instead of guessing.
- The same flat fee at any spend. $19, $69 or $129 a month, whatever you spend on ads.
- You approve, and one click undoes it. Changes wait for your approval unless you choose otherwise, and each one is logged with a one-click undo.
Why we donβt charge more
We could charge more. We donβt, and it isnβt because this is a lighter product β itβs because itβs a focused one. We built the things an Amazon seller actually touches every week and left out the twenty modules that pad a suite. A focused product costs less to build and less to run, so it can cost less to buy.
The other reason is simpler. By the time a seller has paid referral fees, fulfillment, storage, returns, and advertising, a lot of hands have already been in the till β and then an agency wants a percentage of sales and a tool wants a percentage of spend. The person who designed the product, paid for the inventory, and carries every bit of the risk ends up with the thinnest slice of it. We decided not to be one more toll on that road. $129 is a number we can hold at any account size, which means growing your business never costs you more to keep using ours.
Questions sellers ask about BidX
How much does BidX cost?
Its pricing page lists the Self Service Platform at $495 a month plus a percentage of connected ad spend, the Managed Platform at $1,995 plus a percentage and the Managed Service at $4,995 plus a percentage, all "based on an annual commitment and monthly payments." A separate page offers BidX Essential at $195 a month for up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend. (As published on bidx.io, checked October 31, 2026.)
What percentage of ad spend does BidX charge?
Its pricing page doesn't say: each plan shows "+ %" with no number. Its help center describes the bill as a monthly base fee plus "the percentage-based fee of your monthly ad spend that we use for billing." RedHen Labs charges no percentage at all, so the price on our pricing page is never multiplied by your spend.
What would BidX cost at my ad spend?
Up to $10,000 a month, Essential is $195. Above that you'd be on the Self Service Platform at $495 plus a percentage BidX doesn't publish, so the most anyone can say from its site is "more than $495." RedHen Labs Professional is $129 at any spend, and Growth is $69.
If I switch from BidX, does RedHen Labs keep my campaigns as they are?
It leaves them exactly as they are. Connecting RedHen Labs reads your campaigns; it doesn't restructure them or move a bid by itself. What it suggests waits for your approval, and anything you approve can be undone from the log in one click. Switch BidX's automation off on any campaign you hand over, so two tools aren't bidding at once.
Does BidX's AI act on my campaigns?
Not yet, by its own account: BidX Intelligence "reads, analyses and recommends," and BidX's terms promise a "human in the loop" for AI. We agree with that principle and apply it further. In RedHen Labs, AI is one tool among many (it proposes, you approve), and the rule-based automation waits for you too, where BidX's runs every night on its own.
When is BidX the better pick?
If you need Amazon DSP, Walmart, Amazon Marketing Cloud reports or a managed team under one contract, BidX sells all of them. Its schedules can also react to stock levels and Best Seller Rank, and agencies get white-label reporting. RedHen Labs covers Amazon Sponsored Ads, profit and review requests, month to month.
