RedHen Labs vs Scale Insights
Rules you build, priced by the products you automate. Here's how they compare for Amazon PPC management.
Scale Insights is rule-based Amazon PPC software — "Scale and automate Amazon PPC with absurd control," in its own words — built by FBA sellers, with 11 algorithms for bids, harvesting, negatives, budgets, placements and dayparting, plus profit analytics, on every plan. It prices by how many ASINs you automate, counting each ASIN in each marketplace: $78 a month for 5, $98 for 10, $178 for 20, up to $688 for 100, or "The 1% Plan" at 1% of monthly ad spend for unlimited ASINs. RedHen Labs is $129 a month for any number of products.
RedHen Labs is a focused Amazon advertising management platform with built-in profitability tracking. At a flat $19 to $129 a month — never a percentage of ad spend — it gives mid-tier sellers the automation and visibility that used to require enterprise tools or agencies.

Priced by the products you automate
Scale Insights counts every ASIN you automate in every marketplace: "To automate 1 ASIN in the US and the same ASIN in CA, you need 2 automated ASINs." Five cost $78 a month, 10 cost $98, 20 cost $178 and 50 cost $388; above 100 you contact them. Automate six products in the US and Canada and that's 12 ASINs, so $178 a month. RedHen Labs is $129 whatever your catalog, and adding a product never changes the price.
Rules that act, or changes you approve
Scale Insights' rules act once you assign them ("the automation will start working on your Ads"), and it lets you "See upcoming changes before the algorithms execute them." RedHen Labs puts each change in a queue for your approval by default, logs it with one-click undo, and lets you switch an automation to run unattended once you trust it.
When Scale Insights is the better pick
If you want a very deep rule engine ("11 Algorithms" and "200+ Parameters"), with hourly bid adjustments, bulk campaign builders and organic rank as a rule trigger, and you automate only a handful of products, Scale Insights gives you that from $78 a month, $51 less than our Professional plan. It also works in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia; RedHen Labs covers the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
What you’d pay for the products you automate
| Automated ASINs | Scale Insights (by automated ASINs) | RedHen (Professional) | With RedHen, a month | With RedHen, a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 ASINs | $78 (Scale 5) | $129 | $51 more | $612 more |
| 10 ASINs | $98 (Scale 10) | $129 | $31 more | $372 more |
| 20 ASINs | $178 (Scale 20) | $129 | $49 less | $588 less |
| 50 ASINs | $388 (Scale 50) | $129 | $259 less | $3,108 less |
What each includes. Scale Insights: Every plan has all 11 rule algorithms (bidding, keyword import and harvesting, negatives, budget, placement, dayparting with hourly bid adjustments, and stock-based pauses), plus mass campaign building and ads and sales analytics with your COGS. RedHen Labs Professional: everything in Growth, plus the rule engine — bid rules, keyword harvesting and negative keyword automation, budget and placement automations, dayparting — and the plain-English AI assistant.
How it’s calculated. Scale Insights prices by "the number of automated ASINs you need", one ASIN in one marketplace each: $78 a month for 5, $98 for 10, $178 for 20, $288 for 35, $388 for 50, $548 for 75 and $688 for 100; billed yearly, 20% less. "The 1% Plan" is "1% of monthly ad spend" for unlimited ASINs, through a "Contact us" form, with no minimum published. An automated ASIN is one ASIN in one marketplace, the way the vendor counts it. Source: scaleinsights.com, checked October 31, 2026. RedHen’s figure is the Professional plan’s monthly price, the same however many products you automate ($110.08 a month billed yearly). AI assistant: $20 of usage included each month, and it stops at $50 unless you raise the limit.

How RedHen is different
Scale Insights' CEO calls an AI that "decides, and makes the changes for you" "a trap", and we agree. The difference comes after the rule: its rules act once you assign them, with a preview of upcoming changes, while RedHen Labs queues each change for your approval until you hand that automation over.
- Rules first, AI as the advisor. Rules settle the clear-cut calls, and the AI suggests changes inside hard limits. Auto-apply is off by default; switched on, the AI can only nudge bids.
- It waits when the data is thin. RedHen won’t cut a bid on too little data. It looks again next cycle instead of guessing.
- The same flat fee at any spend. $19, $69 or $129 a month, whatever you spend on ads.
- You approve, and one click undoes it. Changes wait for your approval unless you choose otherwise, and each one is logged with a one-click undo.
Why we don’t charge more
We could charge more. We don’t, and it isn’t because this is a lighter product — it’s because it’s a focused one. We built the things an Amazon seller actually touches every week and left out the twenty modules that pad a suite. A focused product costs less to build and less to run, so it can cost less to buy.
The other reason is simpler. By the time a seller has paid referral fees, fulfillment, storage, returns, and advertising, a lot of hands have already been in the till — and then an agency wants a percentage of sales and a tool wants a percentage of spend. The person who designed the product, paid for the inventory, and carries every bit of the risk ends up with the thinnest slice of it. We decided not to be one more toll on that road. $129 is a number we can hold at any account size, which means growing your business never costs you more to keep using ours.
Questions sellers ask about Scale Insights
How much does Scale Insights cost?
It prices by automated ASINs, one ASIN in one marketplace each: $78 a month for 5, $98 for 10, $178 for 20, $288 for 35, $388 for 50, $548 for 75 and $688 for 100, or 20% less billed yearly. "The 1% Plan" covers unlimited ASINs for 1% of monthly ad spend. (As published on scaleinsights.com, checked October 31, 2026.)
Does Scale Insights charge a percentage of ad spend?
Only on The 1% Plan, which is 1% of monthly ad spend for unlimited ASINs, through a contact form. Its other plans are fixed by how many ASINs you automate, so the bill grows with your catalog instead of your spend. RedHen Labs is $129 a month, whatever you spend and however many products you sell.
What would Scale Insights cost for my catalog?
Five automated ASINs are $78 a month, 10 are $98, 20 are $178 and 50 are $388. The same product in two marketplaces counts twice, so six products in the US and Canada need 12, which is $178. RedHen Labs Professional is $129 at any of those sizes; up to 10 automated ASINs, Scale Insights costs less.
Can I see each change before it reaches Amazon in RedHen Labs?
Yes, every one. RedHen Labs drafts each bid, harvest or negative into a queue with its reason, and nothing goes to Amazon until you approve it. Approved changes are logged, and any of them can be undone with a click.
Does Scale Insights let AI run my account?
No, and its CEO is blunt about why: an AI that "decides, and makes the changes for you" is, in his words, "a trap." We think the same. In RedHen Labs, AI is one tool among many: it proposes, you approve, and the rules do the steady work. Where we differ is the approval itself: Scale Insights' rules act once you assign them, while ours wait in a queue until you say otherwise.
When is Scale Insights the better pick?
If you automate only a few products and want the deepest rule engine you can get (11 algorithms and 200+ parameters, hourly bid adjustments, organic rank as a rule trigger), Scale Insights does that from $78 a month. It also works in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia, where RedHen Labs doesn't.
